Ham and Bean Soup
Did you know that a slow cooker is the perfect way to cook a dried bean soup without any pre-soaking or complicated prep work?
All you have to do is get a packaged 15-bean (or similar) soup. Combine with 8 cups of chicken or vegetable stock, some diced ham, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook it on high for at least 4 hours or on low for 8 hours. If you want to add additional veggies like celery, carrots, or onion, dice them up small and add them the last quarter of the cooking time.
