Here's a little something to brighten your day: A team of U.S. firefighters just got to Sydney and will be helping out with the bush fires that are ravaging the Australian countryside.
Their arrival hasn't gone unnoticed, either! This post by Shane Fitzsimmons, Commissioner of the New South Wales Rural Fire Service, shows onlookers at the airport displaying their support.
US fire fighters arrived at Sydney Int Airport this week, on their way to assist with fire fighting in Victoria.

The world is watching as the terrible fires consume an enormous portion of land. Many countries are also sending help, like these Canadian fire specialists who spent their holidays battling the blazes.
Huge thanks on behalf of all the people of NSW to those 21 firefighters from Canada who have been outstanding-giving up their Christmas & New Year to give a hand. Heartfelt thanks. NSW won’t forget what you have done.@NSWRFS pic.twitter.com/9yfMUmTBKC

People are helping in any way they can, from school children doing supply drives to celebrities making donations. Singer extraordinaire Lizzo took time out of her touring schedule to pitch in at a food bank in New South Wales.
