If this doesn't get you in the Christmas spirit, I don't know what will. A Nashville musician and his oncology nurse team up to perform a lovely duet.

Sometimes, all it takes to make someone feel better is a little caring and a bit of holiday cheer.

In an impromptu moment of musical collaboration, an oncology nurse, Alex, brought one of her patients her guitar. Upon learning that Penn Pennington was a seasoned veteran on the Nashville music scene, she thought that a jam session might cheer him up. They settled on "O Holy Night," and the rest is history.

With over two decades of playing at The Grand Ole Opry under his belt and over 30 years of singing in country bars all over Tennessee, Pennington makes it look so easy, doesn't he?

Lucky for us, his daughter, Brandi Mykle Leath, was on hand to take a video of the pair:

The heartfelt duet has since gone viral, shared all over the world by even by the folks at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, where Pennington is undergoing his chemotherapy treatment.

In a later video, Penn is seen playing along with some of his country music friends to a classic Keith Whitley song. You do your thing, Penn, and everyone's rooting for you to get better soon!

Be honest, did this video give you chills? Let us know what you think of it in the comments!
