Santa has confirmed that he will be working on Christmas Eve and taking appropriate precautions.

2020 has been an unusual year, to say the least. With travel restrictions in place across the globe, children everywhere may be asking about their favorite holiday visitor, Santa Claus. Will he be able to cross international air space unfettered? Does he need special dispensation and a negative COVID test? Turns out, Saint Nick is cleared to get the job done.

This news came directly from Simon Coveney, Ireland's Minister of Foreign Affairs and also the Minister of Defense. In a recent press conference about COVID-19 travel restrictions and essential workers, he went into greater detail about Santa's work plan.

It's important to note that Santa will be working and requires ample space for social distancing. Children all over the world should be reminded to give him wide berth and stay in their rooms on Christmas Eve ... after setting out refreshments, of course.

In U.S. news, Dr. Fauci went a step further in a recent interview, assuring readers that Santa is inherently immune to COVID-19.

"Santa is exempt from this because Santa, of all the good qualities, has a lot of good innate immunity. Santa is not going to be spreading any infections to anybody," said Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

This is great news, right? Do you have any kids at home worried about Santa's essential status? What have you told them? Let us know in the comments!
