No. 6: "Dwight Christmas" (Season 9)

Seeing as this was the final Christmas-themed episode of The Office, we were hoping to go out with a bang! But, unfortunately, this one lacks the clever writing of the earlier seasons and is pretty lackluster in comparison to others. It does have a few sweet moments sprinkled in, which is why it's not our least favorite episode on this list, but it still doesn't live up to its predecessors.

It's Jim's last day at Dunder Mifflin before he leaves for his new "sports job in Phila-whatever." We also see that the entire office has forgotten about the Christmas party, which is odd, seeing as the parties are always made out to be a big deal. But whatever.

We then see Dwight dress up as Belsnickel of German lore and plan an "authentic Pennsylvania Dutch Christmas" in lieu of the missed party. We'll admit, it's always entertaining to get more background on Dwight's, uh ... different childhood.

Moments of Note:

  • Andy is still at sea (thank goodness), and Erin seems to be the only one who cares. Which, if you ask us, is yet another reason why putting the "'Nard Dog" in the position of regional manager was a bad idea from the start.
  • Darryl, aka the Drunk of Christmas Present, falling on the table is priceless, but that second crack of the table breaking under him gets me every. single. time.

  • "I want Tropical Christmas!" "Topless Christmas!" "Tapas Swiss Miss!"
