Mexico misses you.

Pyramids, cenotes, and adventurous aquatic activities are waiting for you in Cancun, Cozumel, and other Mexican destinations. Located along Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, the state of Quintana Roo features gorgeous Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico beaches, islands, and inlets.

With the region re-opening to tourists between June 8 and 10, efforts are being made to bring visitors back. The Hotel Associations of Cancun, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, and the Riviera Maya have created the #ComeToMexicanCaribbean campaign, which starts on June 15.

Roberto Cintron, President of the Hotels Association of Cancun, Puerto Morelos, and Isla Mujeres, said in a statement:

"Different hotel associations in our state, along with the tourist industry in general, are 100% committed to participating in this campaign, and aim to reactivate travel to our destinations after the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic."

This campaign is being called a “destination reactivation” and is meant to entice international travelers back to the area after global shut-downs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More than 200 businesses—such as hotels, theme parks, attractions, restaurants, and more—are already involved in this Mexican travel campaign, which is being promoted with the hashtag #ComeToMexicanCaribbean.
