Plan now for summer outdoor fun.

As the temperatures fluctuate as we head into spring, many of us may be turning our thoughts to the warm summer nights around a campfire (fire restrictions allowing) in one of our state's beautiful parks. So if you haven't made reservations for camping in Colorado yet, you may want to jump on that. Like, right now.

According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), campers can make reservations at state parks 24/7 by phone (1-800-244-5613) or online, up to six months in advance. For national parks and national forests, reservations can be made online.

CPW says spots fill up pretty fast these days, so now is the time to begin planning your trip and get your name in the books. That is particularly true for spots over summer holiday weekends, and when the weather is generally predictably pleasant.

In related news, Rocky Mountain National Park has already implemented its two-tiered reservation system.

If you're going camping, you're gonna need a rig to get you there! And Transwest RV and Trailers is your one-stop shop for the best RVs on the market! You'll be the envy of the camping site when you roll up in one of Transwest's RVs!
