Skip the traffic and hop on a train for your next trip from D.C. to New York. Amtrak's new non-stop route on the Acela train will get you to Penn Station before you know it.

D.C. commuters with business in New York will love the convenience of the new direct Acela route. Clocking in at about 2 hours and 45 minutes, the trip is considerably shorter than the 3 hours and 30 minutes on the standard Northeast Regional route.

Amtrak's sleek Acela trains are the perfect vehicle for a stress-free commute. With on-board Wi-Fi and complimentary coffee, tea, and water, you'll have everything you need to relax a bit during the trip. 

For now, the non-stop route is only available on weekdays, but the schedule may be amended if ridership warrants additional trips. One-way fares currently start at $137, so start looking now if you have a New York trip coming up soon.
