Cancel all of your upcoming plans. The State Fair of Virginia is here, and we've got the complete guide to make sure you make the most of it!

Between the rides, petting zoo, farmers market, live music and performances, plenty of delicious food and drinks, and more, there's truly something for everyone at the State Fair of Virginia.

Held at the beautiful rural setting of The Meadow Event Park, from September 28 to October 7, this year's event will also mark the debut of a new exhibit that pays tribute to Penny Chenery, who was the owner of famed racing horse Secretariat. Chenery, also known as "The First Lady of Racing" and "The Mistress of The Meadow," died last year at age 95. Her riding jacket, jodhpurs (full-length trousers) and boots, as well as other family belongings, will be on display for the entirety of the State Fair of Virginia.

Attendees, when they're not indulging themselves with hot dogs and beer, testing their stamina on the rides, or visiting the Penny Chenery exhibit, will be able to enjoy an array of musical acts at the Main Stage. Some of the talents include Scotty McCreery, Craig Cambell, Natalie Grant, and Chris Lane, among others.

You can check out the full list of artists on the State Fair of Virginia website.
