Looking for something fun to do? It's the perfect time of year to visit one of Maryland's beautiful lavender farms.

Mid-June is peak lavender season and farms around the mid-Atlantic hold festivals and pick-your-own events where visitors can take pictures in the fields and pick their own bunches of lavender.

Most of the farms require you to buy tickets for entry, but you may be able to purchase lavender products at the farm stores outside of pick-your-own hours.
