Fall is almost around the corner, and that means all of our favorite fall activities -- like apple picking, sipping on fresh apple cider, frolicking in the leaves, wagon riding, and enjoying the crisp, cool air.

All of those things are, of course, best enjoyed on an apple farm during a fall festival -- which is why every Saturday and Sunday in September, Great Country Farms in Bluemont, Virginia, will be hosting an Apple Gala and Fresh Cider Fest!

This is the perfect fall event for everyone in the family. Tickets to the fest cost $12 per adult and $10 per child. Admission includes a whole host of things, such as wagon rides, a corn maze, cider press demonstrations, activities for kids, putt-putt golf, live music, and more. They'll even welcome your pet, too, who will love the off-leash doggie picnic area. And on Saturday and Sunday, September 8 and 9, the farm will offer first responders and their families FREE admission to the fall festival!

The festival is a great opportunity to go apple-picking and stock up on some farm-fresh apples! If you prefer to buy apples already prepared into delicious pies, ciders, and jams, the Farm Market will have everything you need available for purchase.

And if you’re an adult looking to sip on a little alcohol, there is both a winery and a brewery adjacent to the farm, so you’ll be able to have your pick.
