This is your last chance to visit the truck before it leaves the DMV area.

A unique Barbie pop-up experience is coming to Maryland this weekend. The 2022 Barbie Truck Totally Throwback Malibu tour is coming to the Mall in Columbia on Saturday, May 14.

The truck allows Barbie fans to buy limited-edition merchandise, including water bottles, jean jackets beach towels, and more.

The tour is part of Mattel’s 50th-anniversary celebration marking the creation of the original California girl. The truck will be parked in the courtyard in front of Magliano’s restaurant, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The pandemic stifled the 2021 tour so the company decided to bring it back in 2022 to allow more fans a chance to visit the truck.

In 1971, Mattel debuted a blonde, tan doll that shifted the prim and proper appearance of the original Barbie created in 1959. Malibu Barbie hung out on the beach and had a cool car and a group of Malibu friends. Her popularity was off the charts, and Mattel created a retro version of the doll in 2001.

Unlike the popular Hello Kitty Cafe Truck, the Barbie truck is stocked exclusively with merchandise and no food items. Some of the products available on the truck include a Barbie bucket hat, a Barbie logo mug, a Barbie tie-dye t-shirt, and a Malibu Barbie necklace. All of the items have a retro '70s appearance and range in price from $12 to $75.

The Barbie truck also made stops in Bethesda and D.C. and this will be its last stop in the DMV area for the year. The tour comes to Philadelphia on May 21 and then continues its trek across the country.

More details about the truck and future tour dates and locations can be found on the Barbie Truck Tour Facebook page.
