The new Nike Air Zoom Pulse shoe is both comfortable and durable enough to withstand daily wear by doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers.

Anyone who knows a nurse can tell you that they are always on their feet and that the proper footwear makes all the difference in the world. Nike has designed a brand-new work shoe that is ideal for people on the go. Their product development was centered around healthcare workers who rack up miles of walking with each shift that they work.

The Air Zoom Pulse is the perfect combination of form and function. Its exterior can be cleaned easily while the interior is fitted with special insoles to help provide the support necessary for hours of walking comfortably. The step-in design makes them easy to get in and out of, and the rubber soles are exactly what you need on hard hospital floors.

See the contrasting elasticized band along the back? That's to give you a snug fit in the heel so you're not constantly slipping out of your shoes if you're moving quickly. It looks like Nike has thought of everything!

According to Nike, the shoes were tested by medical professionals at Portland's OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Six special designs created by patients will be released along with the standard models, and the profits from their sales will benefit the hospital.

The Air Zoom Pulse will be available on the Nike website on December 7, and each pair will run $120.
