Announced Monday, the Colorado Avalanche's Cale Makar has been named EA Sports' NHL 24 cover athlete. Makar joins another Avs player to earn such an honor, Peter Forsberg (1998).
A trailer for NHL 24 is set to drop on Wednesday, August 16.
In the 2022-23 season, Makar scored 66 points (17 goals, 49 assists) in 60 games. He's quickly become the NHL's top defenseman since first joining the Avs in 2019.
