You can still support local restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops with takeout, curbside pickup, and delivery services.

Amid rules and regulations on social distancing and patron limits, Richmond restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and even some breweries (this is Richmond, after all) are delving into new ways to stay open on a limited basis.

So, while the dining rooms may be off-limits, you can still order takeout and pick it up or get it through a delivery service like Uber Eats or GrubHub. This is a win/win as it gets you out of the house and supports the financial stability of great local restaurants.

You can then have a picnic at a local park (that's not crowded, of course), on your living room floor, or in your backyard.

Of course, there's always the chance of a location deciding to close completely, so be sure to call ahead just to be safe.
