C&C Cafe in Castle Rock came under fire after a video was posted of in-person dining on Mother's Day.

C&C Cafe in Castle Rock has recently announced that it has permanently closed its doors, just two months after garnering national attention for opening its dine-in option on Mother's Day, which was captured in a now-viral video. This opening was "in violation" of Colorado's public health orders at the time.

According to a Facebook post (below), the cafe has made the decision to not renew its lease at the Castle Rock location. C&C Cafe's location in Colorado Springs, however, will remain open, at least for the time being.

C&C Cafe's last day was on Sunday, July 26, according to the post.

The coffee shop had its license suspended for 30 days for violating the public health orders. Dozens of patrons were captured dining inside without following social guidelines (i.e., masks and the six-foot rule). The cafe was then allowed to reopen on June 14.
