Cowabunga! A "Ninja Turtles" eatery is taking over the former Giordano's location on Broadway.

Calling all '80s and '90s kids! Your dreams are about to come true. According to reports, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-inspired bar and restaurant is opening in Denver.

Called Casey Jones, the new eatery will take over the former Giordano's location on Broadway and come from the owner of Denver restaurant group Handsome Boys Hospitality, Josh Schmitz. Chef Mat Shumaker, the former executive chef for Famous Original J's Pizza, will be leading the charge by serving $3 New York-style slices.

And it's not a pop-up bar; Casey Jones is here to stay, dudes! (At least for nine years, as that's how long the lease is that Schmitz signed on for.)

"We were originally planning on opening this concept in Larimer Square, but when this became available, everything about it screamed Casey Jones," said Schmitz. "Broadway has room for more than one pizza spot, and we’re excited to have a chef like Mat in our corner and give him a chance to really shine."

General manager Chris Wilson is creating Casey Jones' cocktail list, which will include frozen cocktails with names like Bebop and Rocksteady (villains in the Ninja Turtles universe, for those who weren't already aware.)

"I’ve been playing with the idea of creating a sort of Casey Jones pizza party," Schmitz added. "Everyone has that memory as kids going to a Pizza Hut or Chuck E. Cheese and squeezing a two-liter bottle into a cup. Now, you can do that with alcohol."

Schmitz says he plans on opening the eatery in May.
