Get ready for some delicious gluten-free eats!

Whether you have a gluten intolerance such as celiac disease, or simply chose to avoid it, it's important to know what your options are. Gluten-free doesn't have to mean the food isn't delicious. There are many creative chefs and options these days so people with dietary restrictions don't feel like they're missing out. If you live in the Denver area and are looking for some yummy gluten-free dishes, read on to find out more!

Just Be Kitchen

This restaurant is completely gluten-free. They are open 7 days a week, which means you can eat healthy any day you please. They have fun speciality drinks to chose from as well, such as different kinds of tea and golden milk—and even cocktails! I personally would like to order the "pyscho," which is their take on a tequila Bloody Mary.

Just Be Kitchen organizes its menu by phrases like "just be warmed" and "just be all day." The menu items themselves have words such as "cozy," "elegant," and "passion." The Cozy Chicken and Dumplings is a favorite of Guy Fieri. Who wouldn't want to eat a meal with the word "cozy" in it? Honestly, we should all start giving our food fun adjectives, like all of the time.

Motomaki

This is another restaurant that emphasizes healthy AND tasty. Motomaki started in Boulder, and now has two locations in Denver and Lakewood. They are influenced by Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and Hawaii. Not only is their food healthy and delicious, it also is reasonably priced. Here, you can get sushi as a large roll (think sushi burrito) or a bowl. They also have salads, poke, sides (miso soup ... yum!), and family meals.

Stop by one of the Motomaki locations for your Asian fusion and diet appropriate desires. Ask your closest Motomaki location to tell you about their gluten-free options.

Deby's Gluten Free

Oprah once famously declared that she loves bread and eats it every day, and who can blame her? Bread truly is an excellent part of life, and Deby's Gluten Free makes it accesible to those with gluten allergies. They supply many restaurants as well as food warehouses. Deby's is also free of peanuts and shellfish, and has many dairy free products. They even offer gluten-free flour blends and frozen meals! Stop by on a Saturday for Saturdays at Deby's, where you will find 14 tables filled with fresh products. Deby's Saturday hours are 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

Vital Root is considered fast-casual and the prices are affordable. Menu favorites include the bahn mi tacos and sunflower risotto. Don't forget to stop in for happy hour on Tuesday-Friday between 3–5 p.m.

We are lucky to live in a world with creative, forward-thinking chefs who are able to provide options to those who have certain dietary restrictions. Your diet does not mean you are bound to eat bland food. There are multiple options in Denver alone for people who are gluten-free.
