The new milkshakes made from the popular high protein ice cream will be available in Subway stores this summer.

The self-described “ice cream for adults” is partnering with Subway restaurants on a special summer treat. For a limited time, select Subway stores will be offering hand-spun Halo Top Creamery milkshakes in three flavors. The collaboration will be the first foray into a restaurant setting for the specialty ice cream company.

Have you ever had trouble opening a pint of ice cream and not eating the entire thing in one sitting? You’re not alone. Halo Top Creamery created a new formulation of ice cream to solve that problem. Each pint of Halo Top ice cream has more than 20 grams of protein and ranges from 280 to 360 calories, making it okay to finish the whole pint at once.

The Halo Top milkshakes at Subway will be available in three flavors: strawberry, vanilla bean, and chocolate. Each handmade shake will have at least 20 grams of protein and less than 350 calories each. The shakes will be available in six test markets from July 22 to Sept. 22, 2019.

"We are thrilled to kick-off this partnership with Subway and bring these hand-spun milkshakes to life for everyone to enjoy," says Doug Bouton, President & COO of Halo Top Creamery. "We enjoy finding creative and innovative ways for people to eat more ice cream and feel good about it, and we think this partnership provides the perfect platform to do just that."

If you want to get your hands on a Halo Top milkshake, you will have to visit one of the 1,000 Subway stores in Colorado Springs, Colorado; Hartford, Connecticut; Longview and Tyler, Texas; Salt Lake City, Utah; Toledo, Ohio; and West Palm Beach, Florida. Halo Top Creamery pints are available in more than 40 flavors, including a selection of dairy-free flavors.
