Virginia Aquarium is showing its appreciation for local educators in a big way.

Educators are often greatly underappreciated for the work they do. But The Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium wants to help change that.

As the park's way to say, "thank you," teachers and administrators are able to climb their way through The Adventure Park for free until Friday, August 17.

The Adventure Park features a series of aerial, color-coded trails that take guests throughout the forest. The best part? There are 15 different trails ranging from beginner to advanced for all skill sets. According to the park's website, it's the largest forest climbing park in the U.S.

To reserve your climb, visit the park's website, and use the code TEACHER18 at checkout. And once you're at the park, remember your ID, as teachers are required to present them at the registration desk.

The trails are suitable for people of all ages, so family and friends are able to join you in your adventures with the purchase of a regular-priced ticket. Guests must be ages 5 and up.

And if the thought of zipping through the treetops sounds intimidating, fear not. Climbers receive a safety orientation before they begin. You will also be sporting a climbing harness that is securely attached to a safety line at all times, and park guides are available to assist you if needed.

The Adventure Park is located at 801 General Booth Boulevard in Virginia Beach.
