The 2018 Transformational Impact Awards has narrowed down its finalists to nine Colorado schools. And out of those nine, only three will win the $15K prize.
The Transformational Impact Awards -- Colorado's most prestigious awards that honor transformational public schools, along with their educators -- has announced its finalists. Nine Colorado schools have been named, with three set to receive the Succeeds Prize, a $15,000 cash prize. Sponsored by Colorado Succeeds, 9NEWS/KUSA, and mindSpark Learning, the award ceremony will be held on September 18 at Denver's Elli Caulkins Opera House. One finalist will be announced for each grade level -- elementary, middle, and high school -- at the event."The Succeeds Prize gives us the opportunity to celebrate Colorado educators and recognize what is working in our schools," said Steve Carter, general manager at 9NEWS/KUSA, in a statement. "Congratulations to the finalists for Transformational Impact; Colorado is grateful for your work."
