The "snack that smiles back" is getting the Old Bay treatment.

Old Bay fans have a new snack to enjoy this summer. McCormick, the company that makes Old Bay seafood seasoning, has partnered with Pepperidge Farm to create Old Bay Goldfish crackers.

The spicy goldfish will be the perfect companion to a bowl of crab soup, a snack with an Old Bay Bloody Mary, or the cracker base to a Maryland crab cake. The cheddar fish-shaped crackers are coated with Old Bay and come in a special Old Bay-themed bag.

The special-edition crackers will be available in stores beginning in May.

Created more than 75 years ago, Old Bay seasoning is made up of 18 different herbs and spices including red pepper, celery salt, black pepper, and paprika. In the beginning, it was used to flavor Maryland blue crabs, but its unique flavor can be found in anything from French fries to ice cream.

Last year, Pepperidge Farm partnered with McCormick to create goldfish flavored with Frank’s Red Hot Sauce. The spicy hot crackers became one of the best-selling snacks of the summer. McCormick and Pepperidge Farm hope Old Bay Goldfish crackers will be just as popular and earn new fans of the classic seafood seasoning.

Most die-hard Old Bay fans love anything topped with the spicy seafood seasoning and will try anything Old Bay. Earlier this year, George’s Beverage Company released Old Bay Vodka.

If you can’t wait to get your hands on the new Goldfish crackers, you can order a two-pack on the McCormick website. The site has a section dedicated to Old Bay that includes merch like apparel and cookware, along with supersized spice bottles, Old Bay popcorn, and gift sets.
