Sit on your couch and score secondhand treasures that can be shipped right to your home.

Have you ever wanted to try and find something unique at Goodwill but didn’t want to spend time looking through the racks? You don’t have to. The secondhand retail store has launched Goodwill Finds, a new e-commerce site that allows you to shop in Goodwill without stepping into a store.

Proceeds from sales on the website will go back to the area where the item originated to help fulfill the non-profit’s goal of providing job training and development.

The site sells a variety of second-hand items like clothing, shoes, home goods, books, toys, and jewelry. Shoppers can also find collectibles, musical instruments, and electronics, including mobile phones and video game systems. Thrifting has grown in popularity in the past 10 years, even more so during the pandemic.

There are numerous websites and social media platforms where you can buy and sell secondhand items, but Goodwill Finds will be the only one focused on reselling to help the communities it serves.

“It’s truly an honor to serve this incredibly important mission at Goodwill, a beloved brand with an international reputation for doing good,” said Matthew A. Kaness, Chief Executive Officer of GoodwillFinds. “Our new social enterprise makes it easier for the conscious consumer to shop sustainably online while heightening the thrifting experience they’ve come to love at Goodwill.”

All of the items listed for sale on the site have images and descriptions, some with tags or in the original box. Purchases will ship from the originating store via FedEx. The site also has seasonal offerings like Halloween costumes and holiday decor as well as the option to search by brand name.

For now, only a limited number of stores are participating, but more will be added as the site grows.
