Today is the Queen's 95th birthday.
Queen Elizabeth II's 95th birthday is Wednesday, and while it would seem a happy occasion, as she's reached a significant age, it's a more somber birthday this year. Just days after the funeral of her husband Prince Philip, whom she was married to for 73 years, it's expected that this year's birthday will be more somber.

HM was born on 21 April 1926 at 17 Bruton Street in London, the first child of The Duke and Duchess of York.

For other big birthdays, portraits are usually taken along with tributes on social media. This year, however, a tribute is likely but a new portrait is not.

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, died on April 9. He was 99.
