The video shows the woman tripping and then playing dead as the bison charges.
A terrifying video clip taken in Yellowstone National Park shows a woman tripping and falling as a bison charges at her and another person.
The video was posted on YouTube last week and has garnered more than 320,000 views. In the clip, you can see two bison standing in the grass before they begin charging at the two guests. The two individuals start running when one of them trips and falls.
You can hear bystanders yelling for her to "play dead" as the bison draws near and begins to sniff at her. The animal eventually runs away.
Luckily, no one was injured in the incident. No additional information has been released yet.
According to reports, this took place at Nez Perce Creek.
Officials at Yellowstone say that the animals in the park are wild and guests must maintain a safe distance. It's recommended that you stay 25 yards away from all large animals, including bison, elk, deer, moose, coyotes, and bighorn sheep, and at least 100 yards away from bears and wolves.
"Bison have injured more people in Yellowstone than any other animal," writes the National Park Service on its website.
