The University of Tennessee is known for football, the color orange, and now, its stance on bullies.

By now, you've probably heard about the little boy in Florida who was bullied for his handmade attempt at a t-shirt representing his favorite university. He had an orange shirt, but had to draw his own design to turn it into University of Tennessee gear. The creation was a special project for the College Colors Day at his Altamonte Springs elementary school.

As some kids do, a number of his classmates belittled his crafty attempt, and his kind-hearted teacher, Laura Snyder, went to work. She reached out to the University of Tennessee and shared the story along with pictures of his handiwork. UT then sprang into action by sending the whole class a box of Volunteer-themed goodies.

This isn't the end of the story, though! The administration has gone a giant step further and offered the boy a full-ride scholarship and admission to the University of Tennessee when the time comes. How's that for class? By meeting bullies with kindness, UT has given us all an example to live up to.

You can join in on the movement by buying the official reproduction t-shirt for $14.99 from the university bookstore here. It's currently being offered on a pre-order basis. Interest is so high, their website crashed! Part of the proceeds from sales will go to Stomp Out Bullying, an organization devoted to wiping out hateful speech and encouraging a more supportive culture.

In this day and age, with bullying happening all around us, it's wonderful to see someone stand up for the little guy. Now if you'll excuse me, I have an order to place.
