Woods was injured in a roll-over crash on Tuesday morning, reports the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Tiger Woods has since undergone surgery to repair the damage done to his right leg and ankle, states his team in a statement on the pro golfer's Twitter page late Tuesday night. A rod was placed in the upper and lower areas of his right tibia and fibula; his right foot and ankle were repaired by stabilizing screws and pins.

Woods is "awake, responsive and recovering in his hospital room" at Harbor UCLA Medical Center.
On Tuesday morning, around 7:12 a.m., Tiger Woods was injured in a car crash in Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the "jaws of life" were needed to remove Woods from the vehicle.
Woods was the only occupant in the crash, reports say. His vehicle sustained "major damage."

He has suffered "multiple leg injuries." Woods was then transported to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center by ambulance.
"Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries," said Woods's agent, Mark Steinberg, on Tuesday afternoon. "He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support."
