Mizkan America, Inc. is recalling five varieties of Ragú pasta sauces for possible contamination with plastic fragments.

Check your pantry before making your next spaghetti dinner – this is a national recall of one of America's favorite brands of pasta sauce. To date, no injuries or incidents have been reported in connection with this voluntary recall. Retailers who sell this line have already been notified and are working to remove the sauces from the shelves.

The sauces included in this recall were produced in June 2019 and can be identified by the code on the cap and the "Best Use by" dates stamped on the packaging. The included products are:

It is important to note that ONLY sauces with the Cap Codes listed above have been affected by this recall. If you find some of the recalled sauce in your pantry, call the Mizkan America Customer Service hotline at (800) 328-7248 for instructions on how to get a replacement coupon sent to you. The special hotline is available Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Standard Time.

Do not attempt to cook with the sauce, and dispose of recalled items once you have contacted Mizkan. They may ask you to return the products for further inspection.
