2019-2021 Honda Talons are being recalled for a faulty screw that can lead to catastrophic engine failure.

In a national recall notice dated March 9, 2022, Honda announced that approximately 32,000 Honda Talon off-road vehicles may have loose funnel band screws. When fully dislodged, these screws can travel to the engine and cause it to suddenly fail. This has the potential to endanger the driver if they lose control of the vehicle.

The Honda Talons included in the recall were sold all over the country between 2019 and 2022 and came in several different colors: red, green, blue, grey, and yellow. Below is the list of affected vehicles by model year:

  • 2019 Talon 1000 S2
  • 2020 Talon 1000 S2
  • 2021 Talon 1000 S2
  • 2020 Talon 1000 S4
  • 2021 Talon 1000 S4
