Best known for his comedic roles and incomparable delivery, Jerry Stiller has passed away.

Husband to classic comic actress Anne Meara, father to comedian Ben Stiller, and the fictional dad to Seinfeld's George Costanza, Jerry Stiller brought a hilarious touch of hysteria to all of his roles. His son Ben announced his death with a touching tribute on Twitter.

Stiller began his decades-long career with his wife as a charismatic duo that would riff off of one another as Stiller and Meara. Here they are on the Ed Sullivan Show:

Over the years, he would re-emerge as everyone's favorite dad in movie roles and on various sitcoms. TVLand's compilation video perfectly sums up Stiller's performances as Arthur Spooner on King of Queens. 

Most of us will fondly remember Stiller's work as Frank Costanza, another in-your-face New York Dad who tells it like it is.
