Police say the victim was killed in the parking lot.
Lakewood Police are currently investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place at the Walmart parking lot at 4th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard on Friday.
One person, a man who police say is in his 20s or 30s, was killed at the scene.
Lakewood Police are currently working a homicide and officer involved shooting near 4th and Wadsworth. Please avoid the area. There is no danger to the public.

The suspect fled from Walmart when officers shot the suspect, who was then taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. According to police, the suspect was firing his weapon "erratically" and hit some homes and a police car with gunfire.
Police have not released the identities of either the victim or the suspect.
