University Hill Elementary students were moved as a precaution.

A shelter-in-place was in effect for a small area of Boulder. Around 8:10 a.m. on Tuesday morning, students at a Boulder elementary school are being evacuated as a precaution due to nearby police activity. Then, around 8:38 a.m., students were moved to the Boulder Valley School District Education Center.
Shelter in place still in effect for buildings immediately adjacent to 955 Broadway/Uni Hill Elementary area.

Boulder Valley School District said that University Hill Elementary is under a secure lockout and people should avoid the area.

Parents can begin picking up students starting at 10 a.m. at the Education Center.
According to the Boulder Police Department, a barricaded individual in the neighborhood near the school had made threats towards University Hill Elementary before.
