The defamation case between actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is currently being tried in Fairfax County, Virginia. Here's how you can watch it:

Regardless of where you stand on the matter, this high-profile court case is one that is garnering attention from all over the country. In a nutshell, the two parties are going to court after an article authored by Heard was published in The Washington Post.

It is being tried in Fairfax County, Virginia, because that's where the newspaper's publication servers are located. Both actors are expected to appear in court, and this means additional security and media presence.

If you live in the area and want to try to watch the trial in person, you simply have to show up at the Fairfax County Courthouse and get in line each morning. Camping out is prohibited, so get there early but not too early. There is a public parking garage or you can always catch a rideshare to be there before the 7 a.m. opening time. The traffic along State Route 123 in downtown Fairfax will be highly patrolled during the trial.

The official start date for the hearing, including jury selection, is April 11, 2022.
