5+ feet of snow expected over the weekend, according to some predictions.

Nope, you didn't misread that. That's right. Five-plus feet of snow is expected to land in Colorado over the weekend. So, get ready for (what we're dubbing as) "Snowpocalypse," Colorado.

And honestly? We're not here for it. (Anybody else just want the warm weather to stay?)

As of Wednesday morning, local meteorologists are forecasting about 12–16 inches in Denver as a result of this storm. Some light snow will fall on Friday, but the big storm arrives Saturday–Sunday.

OpenSnow.com, on the other hand, has predicted that about 60 inches of snow—possibly more—will hit the Front Range.

However, the National Weather Service hasn't released its predictions yet on how much snow could come from this storm. But it does say that "a large storm system is still on track to bring snow to the Front Range mountains, foothills, urban corridor and Eastern Plains. There is a chance for prolonged significant snowfall, but there remains a high degree of uncertainty regarding the intensity, duration, and timing of impacts at this time.”

In addition to the metro area, the mountains are predicted to see quite a bit of snow, with possibly more than 50 inches dropping in 24 hours on Pikes Peak.
