The Denver Police Department is continuing to investigate a shooting that occurred near 2900 block of North Huron Street near Coors Field on Wednesday, June 10.

In a news conference on Wednesday afternoon, Division Chief of Investigations Joy Montoya confirmed that two victims, one male and one female, were shot in the shooting; one has been pronounced, while the other has been sent to the hospital.

Police believe the suspect has fled to the mountains and have coordinated with "neighboring partners" in Jefferson County, who have been able to contact a man who they believe is the suspect. He has been taken into custody.

The street had been blocked to traffic, and while investigators will remain on the scene, the roads have reopened.
