The airport ranked as the fourth-best airport in North America.

Skytrax World Airport Awards released its annual winners, and Denver International Airport (DEN) has been named one of the best in the world.

DEN ranked as the fourth-best airport in North America and took the seventh spot out of the world's best regional airports. The airport's rankings have fallen since last year—in 2019, DEN ranked at No. 1 in North America.

"Passengers around the world have spoken and we are proud to be the top-rated U.S. airport in our category and honored to be among top-tier international airports despite being under construction," said DIA CEO Kim Day in a news release. "As we continue to face challenges with COVID-19, we remain committed to providing our passengers with a safe, healthy and enjoyable experience."

There were two other U.S. airports that ranked higher than DEN in the North America list: Houston George Bush (No. 2) and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky (No. 3). Vancouver took No. 1.

Singapore Changi has been voted as the World's Best Airport for the 8th year in a row.

The Skytrax World Airport Awards are determined by customers in an annual global airport customer satisfaction survey, with surveys being completed by more than 100 nationalities over the course of six months and at more than 550 airports. Skytrax's survey dives into the entire flying process, from check-in to arrivals, to transfers and departures, to security/immigration.
