The price change is already in effect.

Attention, Colorado drivers! If you take the toll roads during your morning and evening commute, you're gonna want to hear this. Announced last week, the E-470 Public Highway Authority has announced that rates have decreased, as of Saturday, January 1.

This change sees a 5-cent drop in price for all E-470 mainline tolling points and a 10-cent drop at Toll Plaza A—"one of the busiest tolling points to the south in Douglas County," says the press release.

But that's not all! Officials also announced that this may not be the only price drop motorists will see down the road (pun intended). Another 5- and 10-cent decrease could happen in 2023 and 2024 beginning on January 1 of each year, after review and approval from E-470's Board of Directors.

"With recovery from the pandemic ongoing, rolling out reductions gradually over the next three years allows the E-470 Public Highway Authority to reassess toll rates and cash flows annually and adjust as needed due to recovery impacts," says the press release.
