The Pentagon is currently reviewing the request.

On Thursday, Capitol Police sent out a request that the National Guard currently deployed at the Capitol stay for two additional months. The proposal is currently being reviewed by the Pentagon, states the Associated Press.

The guardsmen are currently stationed there until mid-March.
