Everyone loves a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich!

With the record-breaking unemployment numbers from 2020, food insecurity is a rising concern for Americans all across the country. For an easy way to help local families in need, you can participate in the Baltimore Hunger Project's (BHP) annual PB&J drive, aptly named, "Spread the Love" campaign, the entire month of February.

The next time you're at the store, pick up some extra peanut butter and fruit spread in plastic containers and drop them off at the BHP warehouse. You can stop by Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 117 Old Padonia Road, Suite E, in Cockeysville. Donations will be accepted from February 1–28.

Are you not in the area but still want to pitch in somehow? Head to the BHP website and donate online. Every little bit helps and the money goes toward providing nutritious meals and grocery boxes to families in the local community. According to BHP, a $25 donation can provide enough food to nourish a child for one whole month!

You can also help by sharing the Instagram post about the #spreadthelove initiative on your own social media accounts:
