Baltimore residents are about to get a whole bunch of outdoor activity options back on July 13!

On Monday, July 13, the city will reopen public playgrounds, basketball courts, some pools, and more. After months of closures and phased opening of public spaces, this will be a welcome change for both kids and parents alike.

Basketball hoops will be fitted with nets all around the city for the next two weeks. Bocce courts, outdoor exercise equipment, and playgrounds will be available for use as well.

Visitors will be responsible for maintaining proper social distancing and staying away from the parks if they feel ill. Masks should be worn in common areas or enclosed spaces like restrooms, and groups should not exceed 10 people.

Starting July 13, five park pools will reopen for the summer season: Cherry Hill Splash (101 Reedbird Avenue), Clifton Park (2013 Sinclair Lane), Patterson Park (148 South Linwood Avenue), Riverside (1800 Covington Avenue), and Roosevelt Park (3500 Poole Street). Capacity will be limited to 50 visitors at a time per 90-minute session, with frequent 30-minute cleaning breaks between sessions. You'll need to reserve a time slot, so click here to choose the date of your next trip to the pool.

The following week, on July 20, five neighborhood pools will open as well. See the details about the public pools around the city here. Enjoy them while you can; the Baltimore pools close right after Labor Day on September 7.
