The Siberian huskies are purebred and were given to the shelters by their breeder.

The Denver Dumb Friends League (DDFL) reports that 50 purebred Siberian huskies have been surrendered to various Colorado animal shelters after the breeder became overwhelmed.

In addition to the DDFL, the Humane Society of Boulder, the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, and the Larimer Humane Society all worked together to transport the huskies and provide care.

"Upon arrival, the dogs received medical and behavior assessments," writes the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region on Facebook. "While they are in relatively good health, they are under socialized and will require behavior support before they are available for adoption."

Hundreds of huskies! Ok, just 14 huskies, but that's still a lot! On Tuesday, February 2, 50 purebred Siberian huskies...
