The Bier Garden Festhaus will not be reopening for a 2020 season and has closed for good after less than a year.

Fans of the traditional Bier Garden Festhaus in Virginia Beach will be sad to see it go, but the owners hope they will follow them back to their primary location in Portsmouth. The closure was announced in a recent Facebook post:

Locals and tourists alike enjoyed the traditional German food and hundreds of beer options at the Virginia Beach bar and restaurant.

Others came for the live music and special events like trivia night and Oktoberfest.

You won't have a chance for one last visit; they closed for New Year and will simply not be opening back up. If you enjoyed the food, events, and beer selection, you can still get your fix at the original Portsmouth location of The Bier Garden at 438 High Street.

Stop by and pour one out for the Festhaus if you're feeling a bit sad at its closing.
