It's the end of an era in the spa community.
Most aficionados will remember the iconic red doors of Elizabeth Arden spas and salons.

Known as the pinnacle of relaxing luxury, they went through a brand overhaul as Mynd Spa in the fall of 2019. Now, they have ultimately closed for good.

All in all, 27 spa locations across the country were shuttered temporarily in March due to COVID-19. The news came out just days later that the closure would be permanent as the company filed for bankruptcy.
Customers seem to be blindsided by the news. Many are left with worthless gift certificates and very little information. The Mynd Spa website has already been dismantled, and the Facebook page seems to be the only possible point of contact.
Former staff members are also reacting to the news, with some taking to social media and reaching out to their customers directly.
To all my guests, friends & family. It’s with heavy heart my beloved #myndspa company (formerly #thereddoorspa; #elizabethardenreddoorspa) have filed for #bankruptcy. Once this pandemic subsides, I will let you know my whereabouts. You can reach out me anytime. Thank you ❤️

Other employees had one last chance to say goodbye as they returned to get their personal items and equipment.
As Elizabeth Arden's signature Red Door Spa and Salon, the chain enjoyed decades of brisk business as one of the premier spa destinations in the country. Sadly, now it seems the red doors are really gone for good.
