Beginning this summer, return those Amazon purchases by running down the street to Kohl’s.

Have you ever bought anything on Amazon that you wanted to return? That cute medium tee that ended up being a child’s medium, the phone case that didn’t fit, or the vitamin that ended up being the wrong one ... More than likely, the products ended up in the donate pile because you just couldn’t find the time to box it and drop it off. Now Amazon and Kohl’s are making those returns a lot easier. Beginning in July, Amazon shoppers will be able to return unwanted items to their local Kohl’s store.

Kohl’s and Amazon began a pilot program earlier this year in more than 100 Los Angeles, Chicago, and Milwaukee area stores. The program was so successful, both companies agreed to roll it out across the nation.

“We are thrilled to bring Amazon Returns at Kohl’s to all of our stores across the country,” said Michelle Gass, Kohl’s chief executive officer. “Amazon and Kohl’s have a shared passion in providing outstanding customer service, and this unique partnership combines Kohl’s strong nationwide store footprint and omnichannel capabilities with Amazon’s reach and customer loyalty.”

Amazon returns will be available at all of the retailer’s 1,150 stores this July. Customers can return any eligible Amazon items, and they do not have to wrapped or boxed. Kohl’s will package the product for the customer and return it to Amazon.

Kohl’s has also announced plans last month to expand its Amazon product offering inside their stores. Store locations will carry up to 200 Amazon products including Fire TV and Echo products powered with Amazon’s virtual Assistant Alexa. No word yet if customers will be able to do in-store exchanges for Amazon products.
