Six Coloradans have clinched a spot in Forbes' "30 Under 30" list, including a 12-year-old from Lone Tree.

Forbes has released its annual "30 Under 30" list, which features some prominent names in entertainment, food and drink, consumer technology, and more. In total, 600 individuals were added to this year's list, including six Coloradans.

Gitanjali Rao, 12, is one of the youngest members included in Forbes' list. Last year, she was named "America's Top Young Scientist" for her creation of a sensor-based device that detects lead in water after learning of the Flint water crisis in Michigan.

Mikaela Shiffrin, 23, is an alpine skier who has won three world championships, along with two Olympic gold medals in PyeongChang. She's also won the slalom season title in five of the last six years.

Ramy Badie, 29, is the founder of TeeTurtle, an online retail company that specializes in apparel, toys, and games, all of which feature its own designs -- including popular characters from Disney and Marvel.

Joel Jean, 29, is the co-founder of Swift Solar, which develops lightweight, flexible solar panels. A Ph.D. student, he is currently studying at MIT.

Daniel Katz, 22, is the founder of No Cow, a company that produces dairy-free, high protein, low sugar bars, among other products including cookies and various merchandise.

Ryan Laemel, 26, is the senior associate at the Rocky Mountain Institute and leads its Urban Mobility Lab, which focuses on implementing solutions for traffic management, public transit, and electric mobility.
