If you think you do have what it takes to compete on The Amazing Race, then head over to Littleton's K1 Speed Denver on July 12 to audition and show them what you've got!

The award-winning reality television series is hosting auditions next Thursday, July 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at K1 Speed Denver in Littleton -- an indoor go-kart racing business.

Auditions will be held in pairs of two, and each team will have 60 seconds to explain on a live video why they should be considered for The Amazing Race. Props, while not necessary, are allowed. But make sure you and your partner show up on time -- teams may begin lining up at 10 a.m. -- because only the first 200 teams will be given the opportunity to audition.

It is also required that all participants are U.S. citizens and over the age of 21. Fill out the release form.

The following qualities are what the producers are looking for in candidates for this season of The Amazing Race:

  • Strong-willed
  • Outgoing
  • Adventurous
  • Physically and mentally adept
  • Adaptable to new environments
  • Interesting lifestyles, backgrounds, and personalities

If selected, candidates must be willing to travel to remote locations for approximately four weeks and undergo challenges with other teams in remote (and treacherous) conditions, all while being filmed 24 hours a day by camera crews to be broadcast on national television.

The Amazing Race will be awarding a $1 million prize to the team that comes out on top of all the challenges and reaches the final goal by the end of the race. Some challenges will be more physical, while others will veer on the mental side.

Well, what do you think? Do YOU have what it takes to compete on The Amazing Race? Will you be trying out for the upcoming season? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below. And best of luck to all of the candidates! You're far braver than we are.
