Your two favorite '90s accessories have merged together to form the ultimate fashion statement of the summer season: Nike's Fanny Pack Slides.
Nike has completely reimagined its iconic Benassi slides and added a zippered compartment on the strap to hold your keys and maybe a tube of chapstick, a few dollar bills, and a credit card or two. Called the Benassi Fanny Pack Slides, they're basically everything that you loved about '90s fashion combined into a hybrid creation that's ... pretty brilliant, actually. And with all of the festivals and other events happening this summer, Nike's new slides could prove to be a useful investment. They come in three different color combinations: green/blue, gray/black, and black/pink so you'll be able to mix-and-match with the rest of your ensemble. (But for the love of all things good, PLEASE stay away from the tacky sock-slides combo! Trust us, nobody wants to see that.) A release date for when the slides will drop has yet to be announced -- all we know is that it'll be "soon," according to HYPEBEAST -- and there's still no word on how much they'll cost. A pair of the original Benassi slides cost about $25, so we're guessing that the fanny pack versions will be around that same price range.
Are they ungodly-looking with their bright neon color schemes? Yes. Can they make going hands-free a bit easier? Yes. Will I be buying pairs in all available colors? Hell, yes.
