A new Amazon book store will be opening up at Park Meadows mall in Lone Tree, and it'll be the company's first in Colorado.
On Thursday, March 8, Amazon announced that it will be opening a physical book store in Colorado, the first in the state. The new store will be called Amazon Books and is set to open in Park Meadows mall in Lone Tree. An opening date has not been released yet. According to Denver Business Journal, Amazon Books PR Manager Alexandra Woodworth said, "We are excited to be bringing Amazon Books to Park Meadows in Lone Tree, and we are currently hiring store managers and associates. Stay tuned for additional details down the road." On Amazon's jobs website, there's a job listing for "Amazon Books Store Manager -- Park Meadows." You can view the job requirements and apply for the position here. Currently, the mall is home to an Amazon pop-up kiosk. And in 2011, it closed its large Borders book store after the company went into bankruptcy.

The first Amazon Books store opened in 2015 in Seattle, with more stores added in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Texas, and Washington. There are plans for the company to open more stores across the country this year, including the Lone Tree location.
Not only do the Amazon Books stores sell books, but they also have several Amazon devices available like the Kindle and the Echo.
