Taco Bell is revamping its menu and removing some old favorites (again).

If you love a Mexican pizza from Taco Bell, you only have a short time left to enjoy one. Taco Bell is continuing the update of its 2020 menu, removing more menu items and ingredients and adding some new ones. In addition to the Mexican pizza, shredded chicken and pico de gallo are also on the chopping block. The last day you can enjoy these items is November 5, 2020. New items coming to the menu include a chicken chipotle melt, dragonfruit freeze, Quesalupa, and the return of green sauce.

The Mexican pizza has been on the menu at Taco Bell for at least 30 years and has a bit of cult following. It consists of a flour tortilla shell filled with refried beans, seasoned ground beef and Mexican sauce. Another tortilla shell is placed on top and finished off with Mexican sauce, cheese, and chopped tomatoes. It can also be ordered without beef for a vegetarian version. Fans aren’t letting the Mexican pizza go without a fight. A petition to keep it has been posted at change.org and has already amassed over 40,000 signatures.

Taco Bell is also getting rid of shredded chicken in favor of grilled chicken and losing the pico de gallo. Taco Bell stores across the country will be getting two new menu items: a chicken chipotle melt and the dragonfruit freeze. The chicken chipotle melt is made with grilled chicken, chipotle sauce, and cheddar cheese rolled up into a flour tortilla. The dragonfruit freeze is a frozen drink made with dragon fruit and other tropical flavors.

Taco Bells in certain regions will welcome green sauce back to the menu and Knoxville, Tennessee, will be a test market for the return of the fan favorite Quesalupa. The Quesalupa is a chalupa made with a blend of pepper jack and mozzarella cheeses. If all goes well, the Quesalupa will soon be available at restaurants across North America.
