The new cookie flavor will only be available online, not at local cookie stands.

Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. have announced they are adding a new cookie to the lineup for the upcoming cookie season. The “Raspberry Rally” is a chocolate-covered thin cookie similar to the classic thin mint that has a sweet, raspberry flavor.

Cookie season typically runs from January through April, depending on location. You won’t be able to find this cookie at one of your neighborhood cookie stands, though. In order to get your hands on the Raspberry Rally, you’ll have to order it direct from the Girl Scouts' website.

There will be 13 cookie flavors available in 2023 including original favorites like Thin Mints, Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos, Trefoils, and Samoas. The National Girl Scouts organization is holding a sweepstake where five lucky winners will get a special prize pack with a box of the Raspberry Rally cookies and other Girl Scout goodies. Sign up on the cookie website by August 31 to enter the contest.

You can also sign up to be notified when your local troop begins selling cookies in 2023.

Girl Scouts began selling cookies in 1917, traditionally door-to-door, through schools, and by word-of-mouth. About 70% of the proceeds are kept by the local councils to help fund and support organizational needs. Girls can earn prizes for the number of cookies sold and the competitiveness of cookie season has been featured in pop culture and media over the years. The organization added digital sales in 2014 but didn’t focus on it until the pandemic.
